Japanese Automaker Honda Announces Pricing on 2014 Honda Pilot

ORLAND PARK, Ill. - Sept. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- After much waiting and speculation, Honda has revealed the price on the 2014 Honda Pilot. The newest edition of the 8-passenger SUV will offer a starting base MSRP of $30,500. This Pilot, which Honda calls the “Ultimate Family Adventure Vehicle,” is available in four different trim options: LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring. The 2014 Pilot is currently on sale at dealerships across the country and will soon be offered at Community Honda in Orland Park.

All Pilot models come powered by a 3.5L i-VTEC V6 engine that, when paired with a five-speed transmission, delivers 250 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque. Other standard features that every Pilot offers includes a rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity, an 8-inch multi-informational display, automatic climate control, and a 60/40 split third row. Available in either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, the two-wheel drive models deliver an EPA-estimated 25 mpg highway fuel economy, which is the highest fuel economy of any eight-passenger family SUV. The Pilot also has the capability to tow up to 4,500 lbs.

Upgrading from the base LX to the EX, EX-L, or Touring models will get owners additional features. With the EX, buyers will get larger wheels, power seats, and tri-zone automatic climate control, all for $32,750. The 2014 Pilot EX-L trim level will come available with leather seats and a rear-seat entertainment system and will cost $37,600, with options for a navigation system. The top-of-the-line Honda Pilot Touring will get owners both the rear-seat entertainment system and navigation system for $40,650.
