Nascar introduces new driver Cole Whitt to Swan Racing in Nascar Sprint Cup 22 year old, Cole Whitt has earned his place to be at the top of Nascar Racing. Whitt’s desire to race was sparked at the age of five when he raced BMX bikes. By the age of 12 he was entering sprint car races, where he was noticed by Red-Bull and was a semi-finalist in 2004. In 2006, he went on to win Rookie of the Year in the Hoosier Sprint Cup, and in the following year he traveled around the United States and went on to compete in 60 races. He earned his place in 34 top ten’s of the races he competed in across the country. Due to his young success, he and his mother moved to Lebanon, Indiana to continue racing, where he became the youngest winner of the USAC National Midget Championship in 2008. In 2010, Whitt was awarded 4th place in NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. In 2011 he finished in ninth place in NACAR Camping World Truck Series, and then finished in 7th in NASCAR’s Nationwide Series in 2012. In 2011, Whitt signed a contract with JR Motorsports shortly after his first full season with Nascar Camping Truck Series and raced in their 2012 Nationwide Series. Whitt has joined with Tri-Star Motorsports and will debut in the Nascar Sprint Cup Race for Swan Racing in Chicago September 14th. He has been named as one of the few racers that has competed in all three of Nascar’s series before the age of 21. Whitt states that he is “just thankful for the opportunity” End
