Local Children’s Boutique is Open for Busines

WHEATON, Ill. - Sept. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- September 11, 2013— Wheaton, IL—Hummingbird in a Shoebox Baby and Children’s Boutique specializing in designer children’s clothing, baby shower gifts and more is moving into downtown Wheaton. The children’s boutique will be located within Two Shopaholics Boutique at 125 W. Front St.  A ribbon cutting is scheduled for September 20, 2013.

To celebrate the opening, the store's owner, Brigitte Shepard, will be hosting a Grand Opening event Friday, September 20, featuring complimentary snacks, children’s goodie bags and wine tasting. The event is free and open to the public from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

The children’s boutique offers fashions from a variety boutique designers ranging from newborn to size 8.  Designer brands carried include Cupcakes & Pastries, Attitude Pie, Haute Baby, Rufflebutts, Jelly the Pug and more.

Hummingbird in a Shoebox began as an online only children’s boutique earlier this year.  With the growing demand for products from customers, Brigitte Shepard decided to branch out and open a space within the successful downtown woman’s boutique to offer local resident’s the option to buy in store without the shipping costs. "Our goal is to provide customers of Hummingbird in a Shoebox the same fun and inviting shopping experience that Two Shopaholics offers. Hummingbird in a Shoebox has a mix of adorable baby and children’s clothing and accessories with a price tag suitable for everyone," says Shepard.

The idea to open a children’s boutique came from Brigitte Shepard’s inspiration as a young mother to help other mom’s find affordable and adorable clothing that they cannot find in a traditional store.
