By: Association for Natural Psychology As one example, girls often manifest ADHD Inattentive Type, whereas boys more commonly are diagnosed with or display symptoms associated with ADHD with hyperactivity as a predominant symptom. Girls may be more inclined to regularly skip meals and often need help in maintaining a high standard in nutrition due to this tendency. Part of the problem may be in finicky eating habits, being overly picky in their eating preferences or habits for one reason or the other; or it may simple a question of not recognizing the necessity of eating regularly; issues with body weight or perceived body weight may be involved.
