AUSTIN, Texas - Sept. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Ever see a honeybee buzzing around in your yard and remember how great honey tastes?

Honey is just one of the many amazing things that have to do with the wonderful world of honeybees! It is estimated that one out of every three mouthfuls of food that you eat was pollinated naturally by honeybees as a normal part of their activities that make up their lifespan. It is estimated that 15 Billion dollars are added to our agricultural economy here in the United States every year simply because of the awesome things that these winged insect friends love to do. The Western Honeybee is truly the unsung worker behind our agricultural system and as of late that harmonious natural balance has become mysteriously jeopardized by what scientists have dubbed “CCD” or Colony Collapse Disorder. The problem is, is that millions of honeybees are dying off as of the last few years and we now have less than half of the natural bee population that we had until just a few years ago. Because we don’t have a scientific explanation that has pinpointed the reason for this new Colony Collapse Disorder, we are facing a quite substantial breakdown of a huge cog in the machine that is our agricultural system. In China agricultural scientists are experimenting with manual-pollination of the crops there and they have gained ground, but the problem with manual-pollination is difficulty of scale. Consider how problematic it might be to attempt to manually replicate a natural system that is based on wildlife engaging their environment completely without human or mechanical direction? If the Colony Collapse Disorder spreads and continues wiping out masses of beehives around the country, we could be facing a very substantial agricultural crisis sooner rather than later.

Because of the importance of the honeybee in our day to day lives, albeit largely unnoticed,  if you or someone you know has a bee hive on their property that is causing problems it is recommended that you call an experienced beekeeper to come remove the hive safely and intact, to protect the human residents as well as the bees. ATX Bee Removal (http://www.honeybeeremovalatx.com) can help you with any bee infestations and will provide live removal services, safely relocating the hive and the bees to a new home on a local organic farm so that the hive may continue to exist and provide their beneficial services to us and lest we forget, provide us with ample amounts of that sweet nectar that we all know and love known as honey.

Bees are our friends and they are so beneficial to our lives in so many ways, from the food that they pollinate for us to the antioxidants that their honey provides our bodies that are found nowhere else in nature, honeybees are a great part of our ecosystem and culture here at home and abroad. Next time you sit down to eat think about the hard work of the honeybee and  what he means to your life and wellbeing, you may not realize the things have him to thank for.
