Follow on Google News | Celebrate Labor Day With Some Chicago JazzChicago’s 35th annual Jazz Fest is happening this Labor Day in the city’s Cultural Center and at Millennium Park.
The festivities begin on August 29 at 2 p.m. with performances in the afternoon and early evening at venues including the Chicago Cultural Center’s auditoriums, Roosevelt University’s Ganz Hall, and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park (http://www.conciergepreferred.com/ Following that, on Friday, August 30, the festival will continue in Millennium Park and last until Sunday. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion will host the biggest evening shows, while the Freeman Pavilion, and Heritage Pavilion will host sets during the afternoons. The wide variety of Jazz styles will be represented including modern experimental and hip-hop influenced forms, as well as more traditional big band and Latin styles.
