PRLog -- Most recently, Easwar Elumalai (http://easwar-

developed Java script and ecommerce applications to improve Wal-Mart’s online business efficiency.
Easwar Elumalai (http://easwar-
elumalai.com/)
as developed an application for Wal-Mart that is called “site to store” which is used by Wal-Mart associates to manage the status and delivery of products which are ordered through the online shopping. In addition, Easwar Elumalai has also worked on a checkout option called “pick up today.” This allows consumers who are ordering products online to conveniently pick up their item at the store in 4 hours. This is beneficial to Wal-Mart because this allows customers to have the product same day if they are willing to go to the local Wal-Mart to obtain the product. This is also very beneficial for Wal-Mart because the sales transaction is being done online by the website and payment gateway and not by a physical person. Also, Wal-Mart is giving the customer the option of using a shipping company or allowing the customer to skip the shipping process by visiting a local store.
Another variation customers can choose is called Wal-Mart Home Shopping. Easwar Elumalai (
http://easwarelumalai.com) designed Home Shopping under the Wal-Mart brand which allows consumers to use Wal-Mart as a full service personal shopper. It allows the consumer to input his/her address, select grocery items to buy and schedule the time when and where the items will be picked up. These Ecommerce applications allow several different channels for the consumer to customize the type of experience Wal-Mart can provide.
Easwar Elumalai (
http://www.linkedin.com/pub/easwar-elumalai/76/992/952) has also set up the ASDA Groceris.com which is a content gateway and payment gateway between Wal-Mart and consumers. ASDA is an online website which provides products from groceries to clothing to electronics. ASDA is a UK website which delivers its products to you and gives you a 10% discount on the item or items they deliver to your door. In addition, Easwar Elumalai has also constructed a website for ASDA (UK) to match prices among competitors in an easier way to see the price differences for consumers. Through these ecommerce applications, it allows the consumer to shop conveniently in front of their computer without driving or physically being in the store.
