CARMEL, Ind. - March 26, 2014 - PRLog -- A Joshua Tree man was arrested twice in less than 24 hours Friday. According to a Sheriff’s report, Daniel Palmier, 24, was driving 20 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone on Highway 62 near Bannock Trail just after midnight Friday when a deputy spotted and recognized him. The deputy stopped Palmier, and during a search of the vehicle, found narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the car. Daniel Palmer was arrested on an outstanding warrant for drug possession, and cite released at the scene due to health issues. But later that evening Palmer was arrested again. About 9:30, Palmer was stopped near Dumosa Avenue and Antelope Trail in Yucca Valley. The report states Palmier was in possession of a black cane that unscrewed and had a fixed-blade knife inside. This time, Daniel Palmer was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his total bail for the drug and weapon charges set at $50,000.

Federal and state authorities arrested Drs. Daniel Palmier and David Ringer and physician's assistant Jeff Ferryman on charges including dealing narcotics and controlled substances, forgery and conspiracy. Prosecutors says all are employed by Connersville-based Fayette Regional Health System.

All three men were lodged in the Fayette County Jail without bond. It wasn't clear whether they had attorneys.

Another physician's assistant there, David Wulff, was previously arrested on similar charges.
