Blackburn Pat Testing Company Is Finalist in Womens Business Awards

An owner of a Pat Testing Company in Blackburn has been shortlisted in this year’s EVA awards (Enterprise for Vision Awards)

 

Melanie Kitchener, from Rishton, of Kitchener 2000 Limited is up for the Customer Service Award. Established in 1996 the company has been providing Portable Appliance Testing Services throughout the North West and UK ever since.

 

Operating in a predominately male arena, Kitchener 2000’s USP includes 2 females amongst the engineers, which has clinched new contracts for the business, such as a public boarding school, which enables them access to female dormitories. The company specialises in Portable Appliance Testing and is dedicated to employing fully qualified and trained engineers, quality of service and speed and efficiency of site testing.

 

Whilst Kitchener 2000 test the North West area, clients do request national coverage and will see engineers working in Southampton, Dublin and Edinburgh over the next couple of months, for companies such as The Lanes Group.

 

Melanie says: “I’m delighted and it’s a real compliment to have been nominated and shortlisted for the final.  The EVAs have become established awards for women who champion entrepreneurial growth in our region and it’s a great opportunity to showcase the many and varied businesses that are out there.”

 

The Enterprise Vision Awards have been created to specifically recognise those ladies in The North West who are inspiring others by successfully running their own businesses.
