MHA Lighting goes from strength to strength with new appointments

GREATER MANCHESTER, U.K. - Aug. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- The Greater Manchester-based lighting firm welcomes Ian Kane to the team, who has taken on the role of Operations Director and will be looking after all aspects of Operations, including: manufacturing, procurement,  inventory, supply chain and quality in addition to technical functions ranging from product design and development, industrial and production engineering.

Ian, who lives in Southport, has over 30 years of experience within engineering and manufacturing arenas, for companies including: Philips Lighting, Rolls Royce, MPE Ltd and Edbro Plc.

Ian said, “I am delighted to be joining MHA Lighting during this intense period of growth.

I have gained a talented team of committed people and am looking forward to working closely with them to ensure they achieve the success they deserve.  This is a really busy and exciting time for MHA and I'm thrilled at the prospect of helping take the company to the next level.”

In addition to Ian’s appointment, the Sales team has been strengthened with the addition of lighting star, Leah Hartley, who joins as Field Sales Manager –  bringing with her over six years’ experience with ACDC lighting, in both national and international sales.

Leah, who lives in Burnley, said: “I am delighted to be joining MHA Lighting at such an exciting time of expansion. The technology, performance and reliability of the product is far superior to anything else I have seen on the lighting market.

With further development happening all the time, the future looks very promising.”

MHA’s production department has also welcomed five new operatives, all from the Greater Manchester area.

This has allowed the lighting firm to open a second production line, doubling their output capacity to cope with a constantly growing order book.

Ian’s expertise and skills gained in World-class manufacturing environments will be instrumental in ensuring smooth delivery of our ambitious growth plans and business process improvements.”  

Tom continued, “Leah has already made a real impact in the Sales team. Her knowledge, skills and contacts, especially internationally – throughout Europe, the Middle East and USA, in particular with specifiers and architects, will prove invaluable as we continue to grow.

As 2013 has progressed, we have secured a fantastic range of new blue chip customers within manufacturing, retail, Local Authority and the NHS – as well as repeat business with existing customers.”

MHA Lighting now employs more than 40 people at the company’s headquarters in Atherton, Greater Manchester. The company has also set up a permanent base in Brisbane, Australia, to help develop the market for their unique lighting technology Down Under.
