Anyone in the world can take part, of any age, with any or no experience and Portfolio Oomph aims to challenge just what drawing can be. Drawing helps us to make sense of the world, it allows us to think, feel and communicate ideas. Using this eBook is fun, accessible and invaluable especially when used by teachers in a class situation. As technology develops it has a dramatic influence on how we live our lives and our education system. Yet in so many schools today technology and the arts are kept separate. Portfolio Oomph's online hub aims to reach people worldwide who want to apply to art college but need more support than they are currently receiving; be that at school or working alone to create their portfolio. Portfolio Oomph is harnessing all aspects of technology both in teaching methods and tools in that all Portfolio Oomph's learning materials are delivered in the form of eBook and eCourses and are downloaded from the online hub. The most recent eBook 'GPS drawing with your mobile device' guides you through installation of the GPD Draw app for Android and iOS and how to get started creating your drawings with some fabulous ideas using their Pinterest pages. Once you've created your drawings you can upload them to the Portfolio Oomph Facebook page or email them direct to take part in an international exhibition live on the blog during October. From 1 - 30 October 2013 the Big Draw takes place in fifteen countries and over 200,000 people take part every year. Hundreds of new and enjoyable drawing activities connect people of all ages with museums, outdoor spaces, artists - and each other.
