JFCS’s Operation Military Assistance Program Receives Donation From Local Real Estate Professional

SARASOTA, Fla. - Aug. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Recently the Jewish Family & Children’s Service’ Operation Military Assistance Program received another donation from Troy Sacco of Generous Property.  The donation helped a local veteran couple to obtain temporary housing while awaiting a permanent placement with the assistance of program director Chip Taylor and his staff.

“Operation Military Assistance really appreciates donations from the local community” said Taylor.  “The local money we receive can be used with fewer restrictions compared to the federal grant money we receive from the VA for instance; this donation will go towards assisting a local couple, both of whom are veterans, with temporary housing while we help them find a more permanent solution.”

“It is very gratifying to see that the donation goes directly to help local Sarasota community veterans in need.”  Troy Sacco said.  “We are more than happy to take a portion of our earnings from each transaction to assist local non-profit organizations like JFCS’s Operation Military Assistance Program.  It feels great to touch the lives of our neighbors in a positive way.”

Operation Military Assistance Program offers case management and financial assistance to very low-income veterans and their families who are literally homeless or who are about to become homeless to enable them to obtain or maintain stable, permanent housing.
