Oaks Christian School's Learning Center Is Now Open to the Community

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - Aug. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Westlake Village, California—For the past several years, the OC Learning Center has been offering tutoring and test preparation coaching to the students of Oaks Christian School.  The program’s success has allowed for an exciting expansion opportunity that includes offering its services to the community, welcoming area students from elementary grades through college.  Recently, Oaks Christian School (OCS) purchased the Westlake Plaza office building at 3122 Cedar Valley Drive, which is adjacent to its high school campus, and both the OC Learning Center and OC Online School will be located there this fall. 

“The success of our program is based on our commitment to see students succeed and master course material with confidence,” said OC Learning Center Director Jason McMaster.  McMaster has shaped the Learning Center from its beginning and has selectively chosen an expert tutoring staff.  “Each tutor is highly trained in his or her subject area and is passionately committed to helping students achieve academic success.  Learning Center tutors look to inspire, motivate and encourage students to achieve their best.  We are here to help students not only raise their grades, but raise their level of competiveness to maximize their education and their future college opportunities.  We genuinely care about the students we serve and we look forward to serving the students of the community as we expand our services.”  Many students have found the OC Learning Center to be an invaluable support system.  “The OC Learning Center tutors were my mentors and I thank them for helping me reach the next level,” said OC 2013 graduate Veronica Dunne who will attend Carnegie Melon University.  “I not only learned useful study skills, but I appreciated how much they cared about me.”  Parents like Joanne Prewett express their appreciation.  “I can’t thank you enough for the help and support you have offered our son and we are happy with the overall influence tutoring has made in his life,” Prewett expressed in a letter to the OC Learning Center staff.
