Submissions Open For 8th Annual National Indie Excellence Book Awards

LOS ANGELES - Aug. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- In its eighth year, the National Indie Excellence Book Awards continues its tradition of honoring the best of the best self-published and small press books. NIEA (indieexcellence.com) is now accepting submissions for 2014. Entries must be postmarked by March 31 and the winners and finalists will be announced May 15.



NIEA recognizes indie books for excellence in every aspect from design to content. The contest is open to all English language books available for sale, including small presses, mid-size independent publishers, university presses and self-published authors. Books with publication dates of 2009-2013.



Each winner and finalist will be eligible for sponsor’s choice prizes ranging from virtual book tour set up to media advertising to event management (http://www.indieexcellence.com/sponsors-choice-awards.htm).



The competition is judged by independent experts from all aspects of the indie book industry, including publishers, writers, editors, book cover designers and professional copywriters. They select award winners and finalists based on overall excellence of presentation in addition to the writing.
