Lexus LS the Most Luxurious of them All, J.D. Power Study Finds

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. - Aug. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- It isn't easy to combine comfort, power and luxury into one vehicle, but Lexus appears to have done just that with the 2013 Lexus LS. This all-new, full-size luxury sedan, now in its fourth generation, recently earned recognition for being the top large premium car as part of J.D. Power and Associates' 18th annual Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study.

J.D. Power and Associates polled more than 83,000 people who bought or leased a 2013 model-year vehicle, asking them to rank their satisfaction level in 77 categories after they had owned their cars for at least 90 days. Each vehicle received a score on a 1,000-point scale, with the new Lexus LS edging the Audi A8 and Hyundai Equus en route to being named the best large premium car in 2013.

"Drivers are impressed with the new Lexus LS because it offers a powerful, yet incredibly smooth and quiet ride," said Keith Drago, general manager of Lexus of Rockville Centre, a New York Lexus dealer. "It doesn't hurt, either, that the LS has some of the most advanced technology in the auto industry."

That technology includes a 12.3-inch LCD touch-screen and a 13-sensor climate regulation system, which automatically adjusts the vehicle's interior settings to provide the optimal cabin atmosphere. At the same time, the Lexus LS boasts some impressive power, with its 4.6-liter V8 engine that produces 386 horsepower. The 2013 Lexus LS also features noise-reduction wheels and increased insulation that, together, are designed to create a quiet ride for drivers, no matter if they're traveling through the city during rush hour or cruising down the highway.
