Spencer promoted at Crowne Plaza Hotel Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. - July 25, 2013 - PRLog -- FORT MYERS, Fla. – July 25, 2013 –The Crowne Plaza Fort Myers at Bell Tower Shops today announced the promotion of Laura Spencer to Crowne Meetings Director.

Ms. Spencer joined the Crowne Plaza Hotel staff in 2010 as the hotel’s catering sales manager. She has over twelve years of sales management, catering, event planning and supervisory experience.

Lisa Vinciguerra, regional director of sales, catering and marketing for Cooper Hotels, which owns and operates the Crowne Plaza Fort Myers, said, “We are pleased to have someone with Laura’s talent and experience to fill one of the most important guest service positions at our hotel. I am confident that she will continue our tradition of meeting and event service excellence.”

The Crowne Meetings Director has complete responsibility for all meeting details including planning, arranging, staffing and personally working closely with the person responsible for the meeting. In addition, the Crowne Meetings Director conducts a daily meeting debrief to help the meeting planner track all costs and manage the event budget.

Previously Ms. Spencer held positions with The Club at Mediterra and Fiddlesticks Country Club. She is a graduate of Olivet University in Burbonnais, Illinois.
