Mr. Walsh was previously Senior Vice President, Federal Government Sector, for McKesson Corporation.  In his new role, Walsh will manage Oxyband’s overall operations and expansion of Oxyband products across all healthcare segments.

For more than ten years, Mr. Walsh oversaw McKesson’s federal and state engagements and developed corporate strategies for expansion within the sector, resulting in revenues exceeding $5 billion. Before joining McKesson, he held executive positions with Exostar and Concurrent Technologies Corporation and previously served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Walsh retired from the Army in 1996 after 26 years of honorable service. Among his many assignments were:  Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (RD&A), Director of Contracting, Walter Reed Army Medical Center; Director of Logistics, SHAPE Medical Center; and a joint medical assignment with the Defense Logistics Agency.  As a Medical Service Corps officer, Mr. Walsh’s career progressed from field medicine and medical evacuation pilot to medical logistics/contracting, and he also managed the Department of the Army’s worldwide electronic commerce network. From 1967 through 1975, he served as a noncommissioned officer with the Army Security Agency and the 11th Special Forces Group (ABN). His combat duty includes two tours in South Vietnam and Bosnia.

Mr. Walsh’s military awards and professional recognition include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Federal 100 (1997) and Senior Army Aviator Wings. He earned a B.A. degree from Rutgers University, a MBA from Boston University and MIS from Drexel University.
