PALM COAST, Fla. - July 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Rabbit Dyer is the last of the Big Three Caddies left to tell the stories from over five decades as a PGA Tour caddie.  

Rabbit is best know for looping for Gary Player and that controversial win in the 1974 British Open.

In the wake of the George Zimmerman controversy regarding race Rabbit’s stories address being the first black American to caddie in South Africa and the issues he faced with apartheid. Rabbit was the first black to caddie the British Open where he dealt with the same issues of race and discrimination overseas.

Rabbit’s stories start at the Metairie Country Club in New Orleans where this young black boy learned to caddie with Ben Hogan and went on to carry the bags for golfs greatest pro’s, celebrities and presidents including Tony Lema, a 20-year run with Gary Player, Bob Hope and presidents Ford & Eisenhower to name a few.

Authored by John Downing who spent many months with Rabbit recording his stories.  The Last of the Big Three Caddies also includes stories from Gary Player, Chi Chi Rodriguez and Fulton Allem., forward by Jim and Carol Thorpe.
