WSN Welcomes Pro Softball's Kimi Pohlman To The Team

About Kimi Pohlman:

Kimi was the Chicago Bandits' first round pick, and the No. 2 overall selection in the 2012 National Pro Fastpitch Senior draft, but was unable to play for the Bandits due to previous obligations she had made prior to being drafted. Kimi's love and passion for softball brought her back to the diamond, signing a contract with the Chicago Bandits for the 2013 season. The 5’8” outfielder had an excellent career at the University of Washington where she was a member of the 2009 WCWS National Championship team. She was a three-time First Team All Region selection for the Huskies and a three-time First Team All-Pac 12 selection. Her career stats left her in the top 10 in several categories, including her .378 batting average (5th), 89 stolen bases (5th) and 275 hits (7th). In addition, Kimi started an organization called "Running for the Pac", which helps young athletes develop proper form, learn how to effectively change direction, mental toughness, and how to gain basic athleticism.
