ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - July 8, 2013 - PRLog -- In 2013, Zephyrhills Fall AutoFest, November 14-17 at Festival Park in Zephyrhills, Florida will end with a bang, a few smashes and even a crash or two.  The event will see total destruction and it will be done via the onsite demolition derby slated for Sunday, the final day of the event weekend.

After a two-day auto auction and four full days of swap meet and car corral excitement, Carlisle Events and event manager Jim Brady couldn't think of a better way to wrap the weekend.  The demolition derby is presented by T.E. Promotions, Inc. and Terry Eaglin and will be held on the adjacent track located just one hundred yards north of the main Festival Park footprint.  In addition, attending the demolition derby is free with a gate admission to Fall AutoFest.  Spectators will be able to line the track parameter and witness an amazing path of destruction.  This is further made possible, as Carlisle Events will position temporary bleachers in high visibility zones around the track.

"I have had a passion for racing since I was a small child,” said Eaglin.  "I started driving midget race cars at the age of 15 and I went on to race street stocks and dirt late models with many victories throughout the U.S.," continued Eaglin.  "Over the years I've never lost my love for motorsport competitions and in the early '80s I began promoting demolition derbies, mini-car derbies, stock car racing, figure 8’s, bus derbies, combine derbies and more at local and regional fairs and festivals.  It's this passion for motorsports that has me still active today and has me working with Carlisle Events and Zephyrhills Fall AutoFest.  I look forward to seeing everyone in November at Festival Park!"

As a company, T.E. Promotions, Inc. runs over 100 events annually in the Midwest and recently opened a second office in Florida.  The company promotes THE largest racing event in the Midwest, backing an evening of fun that welcomes nearly 800 entries.  While the demo derby at Fall AutoFest likely won't include 800 cars, promoters are expecting a strong turnout, both on the track and in the stands.  In addition, much like the backers of Fall AutoFest, Carlisle Events, T.E. Promotions, Inc. is a family business.  Eaglin's kids grew up in the business along with his nephew.  Now, in 2013, their kids are becoming involved too.

"The demo derby excitement never wanes as I can remember seeing them at the fairs and carnivals forever," said Carlisle Events co-owner/co-founder Bill Miller, Jr.  "The fun and thrills that they were then remains today.  When the green flag flies, the action starts and we encourage everyone to join us at Festival Park; bring the family and cheer on your favorite driver.  Many participants will be locals and everyone is vying for a big cash payout."

Anyone wishing to participate in the derby as part of the final day of Fall AutoFest should do so by contacting T.E. Promotions, Inc. directly.  Details on how to participate are available online at www.kingofthederbies.com or by calling 812-689-1046.
