| Client Wins £16,000 after Dentist Error Thanks to Dental Law PartnershipA woman from the North East has received £16,000 in dental compensation after her dentist fitted her with veneers which permanently damaged her teeth.
By: The Dental Law Partnership The 25 year old contacted the Dental Law Partnership after her teeth suffered permanent damage due to the inadequate work of the dentist, in applying the poor veneers. She had originally visited him to improve the appearance of her teeth, and the dentist in question had suggested that four veneers should be fitted to her top front teeth. But soon after the procedure, two of the veneers fell off. Upon visiting another dentist, the client was told that the veneers had been poorly fitted. As a result all four would need to be replaced by crowns. The original dentist has failed to provide the client with an alternative to the veneers, then had permanently damaged her teeth through the procedure. When fitting the veneers, her dentist removed too much enamel, which meant crowns were the only suitable replacement possible. Her crowns will need to be replaced around every 10 years. The client was awarded £16,000 in an out of court settlement, despite the fact that her dentist did not admit liability. The Dental Law Partnership were instrumental in securing dental compensation for the client. Speaking after the decision she said “I never would have chosen veneers if I had known that this could happen, but I’m glad it’s finally settled and I can begin to move on.” The Dental Law Partnership provides expert legal representation to the victims of inadequate dentistry, and they are the market leaders in the field.
