Gold Medal Squared’s Chris McGown named AVCA and MPSF Coach of the Year

Chris McGown, BYU’s head volleyball coach and Gold Medal Squared staff member, is named AVCA and MPSF Coach of the Year.

June 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Chris McGown, BYU’s head volleyball coach and Gold Medal Squared staff member, is named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Coach of the Year.  McGown lead BYU to an overall record of 25-4, and a Final Four appearance in the NCAA tournament.  For most of the season, BYU was ranked No. 1 in the nation in the AVCA poll.  McGown’s success, in only his second season, has acquired him much attention in the volleyball community and the Coach of the Year honors.
