June 20, 2013 - PRLog -- The 11+ is an entry exam that is held for students aged eleven. The exam determines whether or not each child will attend a grammar school or a comprehensive school. The exam looks at three specific areas of education; English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning. Each child has the choice as to whether or not they wish to sit the 11+. There is no harm done if the child doesn’t take the exam, however, they may as well in order to see how clever they are and if they are suitable for a grammar school.

During their time at primary school, each student will be given practise papers and examples of 11+ questions so that they are prepared for the exam. Often grammar schools will choose the students that pass within around the top 150, depending on how many students that will have in each school year. If you are thinking about entering your child for the 11+ then help them get through practise papers so that they are aware of what to expect on the day of the exam.

Primary school websites should provide practice papers online. Visit secondary school websites for specialist designers who take the presentation of a schools website with the highest consideration.
