NEW YORK - June 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Wolrad Press is pleased to announce that New York City-based singer, songwriter and author Mark Darlow will sign copies of his new children's book, I Wonder What It’s Like To Be at the 2013 New York Book Festival. The festival is being held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 11am to 5pm in the Grand Ballroom at the Radisson Martinque on Broadway Hotel, 49 West 32nd Street, New York, NY 10001.

In addition to signing books throughout the day, Darlow will be giving out free printed mini editions of the book to those who join his free News and Announcements List. He will also be singing the companion song for the book: I Wonder What It’s Like To Be live throughout the day for attendees.

"I am really looking forward to this opportunity to connect with people of all ages at the New York Book Festival to share my passion for music, education and reading," says Darlow. "It gives me so much pleasure to watch the reactions of children and adults when I’m singing them a song or telling a story.”

To help celebrate the event, the Amazon Kindle version of his new book will be available free for download from Amazon.com on June 22 and 23 (Pacific Standard Time). To find a direct link to the book, visit the companion site for the song and book: iwonderdoyou.com (http://www.iwonderdoyou.com/), click on the book's graphic, and then choose the Kindle version (regularly priced at $3.99).

Darlow was born in The Bronx, New York and is the father of two boys and one grandson. He spent most of his business career in a family business that grew to become one of the largest graphic arts establishments in the country. He brings his 50+ years of printing and typography experience to this work in many ways, as evidenced by the book's simple yet easy-to-read layout and design.

About the Book

The 24-page book (available in softcover and as an Amazon Kindle e-book) is geared toward children 2-8 years of age. The book and song feature a boy named Wonder who asks, “I wonder what it’s like to be...” some of the animals and things he comes across in his life, including birds, bees and trees. The softcover version of the book is 8.5 inches square and is illustrated with full-page vibrant color drawings by long-time artist, illustrator and New York City resident Juan Rodriguez. The song has exactly the same lyrics as the words in the book's text, which helps children follow along with the song even if they are not yet able to read the words aloud by themselves.

The printed and Kindle versions of the book include a page with the full lyrics of the song, and the Kindle version adds a copy of the words of the song in black text under each page to help readers follow along with the song quickly and easily regardless of the digital device used to read it (Mac or PC, Amazon Kindle™ e-reader/tablet, Apple® iPad™/iPhone™, Android™ device, etc.).

The Kindle version of the book has earned #1 Bestseller status in multiple categories since its release, and the book has been awarded Honorable Mentions in the San Francisco Book Festival and the Paris Book Festival.

Videos plus links to the book and song can be found on the book and song's website at www.iwonderdoyou.com. A video with a full-version of the song, and an animated version of the book is also available on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbXwMHtrcSM
