John Enghauser ‘keeps His Jacket On’ For Two Award Nominations

SYDNEY - June 10, 2013 - PRLog -- John Enghauser is likely to clean up this year at the 23rd LA Music awards for his album “ Keep your jacket on”, after being nominated for two awards.

John’s two categories include "Hot AC Artist of the Year" and  "Hot AC Album of the Year". John has currently moved to the ‘Big Apple’ and is already a regular radio favourite on the AC Radio networks. His songs are constantly being played around the world and that has been a credit to his steady song writing output as well as focusing on producing and recording great music.

ABOUT JOHN ENGHAUSER
John Enghauser is a singer/songwriter who has been on the original music scene since the mid 90’s. Falling in love with the sounds of rock when he was just 17, his first break was being a front man for his high-octane funk-rock project called “Jamawokee”, which debuted in Massachusetts and, since then, has developed into a truly gifted artist.

John began honing his songwriting and front man skills and the 4-piece band released its first recording self-titled “Jamawokee” in 1996. Later on, John fronted his next original band from Boston called “Jeng”. John used his creative flair to write all the material for this potent live show and his talents sparked interest from heavy hitting labels such as Columbia and Virgin Records.

In 2000 John released Jeng’s album “Larium Dream”, which is a compilation of some songs he wrote while he was with the band. John was honored to have his mentor, Mitch Chakour, who currently performs with The Mohegan Sun Allstars, including David Foster and Cliff Goodwin and Dalia Lama, in benefit for the Tibetans Exile. Mitch shares keyboard duties with John on this amazing album.

John’s music is a mix of past and present sounds. He released his CD “Lost in the Pages” in 13 countries including Australia, England, France Germany, New Zealand, Canada and The U.S.A. John performs all the vocals, acoustic, electric and guitar, bass and keyboards on this album. John wrote and co-produced the album with Joerg Stoeffel. The album features Dicki Fliszar, the superstar drummer who has worked with the likes of Iron Maiden, Bon Jovi and Van Halen.

John is influenced by the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind and Fire, Led Zeppelin, and Jamiroquai. If you like Lenny Kravitz, The Black Crowes and Steely Dan, then John will find familiar ground within your brain. His music is poetic and the songs are strong. He is FM radio classic folk rock.

After receiving critical acclaim for a number of years, John has been performing live, building a fan base and forming a connection to the indie music scene. John signed a global deal with indie powerhouse record label “Blue Pie” in 2009 and is has currently been nominated for two L.A Music Awards, including "Hot AC Artist of the Year" and "Hot AC Album of the Year".
