Annual Chrysler Engine Giveaway Returns for 2013 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals

CARLISLE, Pa. - June 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Stars and cars, that has become the theme as of late for the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals.  This year, more than 2,200 cars of Mopar’s best will converge on the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds for a one-of-a-kind weekend.  The event, July 12-14, will not only serve as a great showcase for all things Chrysler, it will host Collector Car Appreciation Day, stars from TV and the silver screen, plus  will serve as a forum to give away a spectacular Six Pack engine.

This year’s engine available for hopeful winners is a 470” Six Pack (Six Barrel in Plymouth speak) based on the legendary 440 block.   Edelbrock parts are featured, including the intake.  There are valve covers coming from Edelbrock too, plus a trio of carburetors from Holley.  In addition, power comes from a 440 crank which has been transformed into a 3.91 stroke and uses a 7.1 inch rod.   With the great time and effort put forth to build this engine, the winner will see amazing power, estimated to be north of 600 horses and nearing 700 ft/lb of torque.  While the prize won’t come with an air cleaner due to product back order, it will have the fuel lines, throttle bracket and linkage.  In general, this beast will be ready to run!

“We’ve never done a Six Pack before and this one should offer the best of just about everything,” noted event manager Ed Buczeskie.  “The power will definitely be there and if the winner can drive without opening all six barrels all of the time, gas mileage can even be reasonable.  Then there’s the all-business look of those three Holleys!”
Attendance is not required to win the engine and no additional purchase is necessary. Hopeful winners may sign up onsite via one of many kiosks located within the Guest Services building event weekend or online now via the Carlisle Events web page.

In addition to the engine giveaway, guests coming to Carlisle in July can experience a unique all-Mopar- themed weekend.  There are historically significant displays, a hall of fame induction Saturday night, plus you can celebrate 30 years of Christine with five cast members and a car from the film onsite.  Further, Sonny Shroyer, Enos from the Dukes of Hazzard, will be at Carlisle too.  In total, the 2013 weekend once again highlights the best from Detroit, Hollywood and all points in between.
