Mazda to Challenge the Ruling Class

TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL, MAZDA HAS IMPLEMENTED AN INTERNAL BUILDING BLOCK STRATEGY TO BE COMPLETED BY 2015. A
new generation highly efficient direct injection gasoline engine that achieves the worlds highest compression ratio of 14.0-1.  High compression results in a 15% improvement in fuel economy and torque. A 4-2-1 exhaust system, cavity pistons, and direct hole injectors round out the Skyactiv-G.

SKYACTIV DRIVE
The automatic transmission combines the best attributes of all automatic transmissions into one tight, fluid package. Continuously variable. Dual Clutch. This automatic tranny gets as close to the feel of a manual transmission as any out there. Skyactiv Drive offers 4-7% improvement in fuel economy over older transmissions.

SKYACTIV-MT
Mazda’s short throw manual transmission is improved even further with a light shift feel, improved efficiency and considerable lighter weight. You can literally beat this transmission to death and it will never acquiesce.

SKYACTIV BODY

Percent lighter-30% more rigidity! Crash safety performance meets all standards. The primary difference between new the old frame and the new Skyactiv improvements is advancement from a discontinuous frame to continuous frame. Fewer joints = less flex.

SKYACTIV CHASSIS
Suspension and steering functions have been thoroughly revised to unite car and driver. This is achieved through newly developed front and rear suspension, electric power steering, and 14% lighter than the previous model. The goal was not a lighter weight but rather low to mid speed agility and high speed stability.
