![]() H&M VISITS Istituto di Moda Burgo of MilanThe Swedish brand “H&M” (Hennes & Mauritz) was born in 1947 in Västerås and today it’s one of the major brand in many countries around the world, in the textile and clothing sector and it is an expanding company. H&M arrived in Italy during the 2003, opening its first store in Piazza San Babila, a strategic commercial area in Milan, in the former “Elio Fiorucci” store. Quickly it earned the title of international ambassador of “Fast Fashion". The wide range of H&M goes from clothes, shoes and accessories up to the cosmetics for the whole family. The brand is characterized by a balanced mix of fashion, quality and price that constantly invents the desires of customers. The 'basic' models are the main products, modern fashion garments and latest trend. During the visit that involved the Director, the teachers and the students of Istituto di Moda Burgo, Lisa and Mary had also the opportunity to meet and talk with Chinese students of the “Shanghai Art & Design Academy”, who were in Milan to attend the “Marketing and Fashion Trend Special Course” created from Istituto di Moda Burgo specifically for the Chinese study group. The H&M supervisors finally viewed the students' Fashion Design projects and their Pattern Making creations with the aim to offer them the opportunity to work for the Swedish Brand and in all the international branches.
