These figures are in line with the Metalogix SharePoint Content Survey from November 2012, which found 60% of organizations were planning to move to SharePoint 2013 within the next 12 months. The popularity of Office 365 was also evident, as 29% of customers downloaded the free edition for a migration to Office 365, either Standard or Dedicated.

For the source from the total number of downloads, 37% were upgrading from SharePoint 2010 with another 41% migrating from either SharePoint 2003 or SharePoint 2007. There were also 8% of customers that were looking to consolidate file shares into SharePoint (http://www.metalogix.com/How-We-Help-You/Use-Cases/File-S...) or Office 365.
