Barcode and label app introduces creation of standards-compliant barcodes on Windows tablets

May 14, 2013 - PRLog -- ConnectCode, a leading provider of barcode software and fonts, today announced the release of Barcode & Label, a label design and printing app for Windows 8 Store. The app enables users to produce Address Labels, Inventory Tags, Price Labels and Business Name Cards, on Windows tablets, quickly and easily.

The app is bundled with over 900 industry label templates and 150 clip-arts, and generates commonly used barcodes using font technology. It also supports retrieval of contact information from Windows 8 People's app, to print this information on the labels with ease.

The app comes with capabilities such as Zooming, Rulers, Grid, Label Template Customization, Objects Alignment/Selection, Undo/Redo and WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) user interfaces – features found only in industrial strength desktop labeling software.  

The app is capable of creating Code 39, Industrial 2 of 5 and POSTNET barcode using True Type fonts. The barcodes generated using fonts are of high quality and they adhere strictly to industry specifications such as those by GS1 and ISO.

The app is designed to work on both tablet and desktop mode on Windows 8 and supports users using either the touch or the mouse.
