AUSTIN, TEXAS, MAY 13, 2013 – Dresden Technical University of Germany and Iasa Global Association for IT Architects are collaborating on academic research projects.
The TU Dresden is situated in the east of Germany with approximately 36,000 students and is among the top universities in Germany and Europe.  Leading industrial organizations honor TU Dresden for teaching and research that is geared to real-world issues and solutions by financing thirteen endowed chairs (http://tu-dresden.de/forschung/forschungskompetenz/stiftungsprofessuren/index_html).

As part of the first collaborated research project, Iasa supported an empirical study on the value of architects. 1200 architects participated in this survey conducted late last year allowing quantitative results on the value provided by architects to their companies.

The upcoming research project led by Roy Wendler, Research assistant at the chair of Information Systems, esp. IS in Manufacturing and Commerce, will investigate what determines an agile organization in the software and IT service industry.

„The final aim of this project is to develop an assessment tool for agility from an organizational perspective that serves all companies of the IT industry to initiate specific improvement measures” Roy explains.
