Advances in Warehouse Management Technology and Services Help Bergen Logistics Fulfillment Warehouse

Additionally, Bergen Logistics completed the installation of a large scale Bombay Sorter which is now fully operational. Implementation of RLM as the back office department’s ERP is now completed, as the team prepares for the Fall/Winter 2013 season.

Bergen Logistics’ 220,000 square foot facility, located at 7373 Westside Avenue in North Bergen, NJ, is its first fulfillment house to receive a large scale Bombay Sorter in order to increase efficiency and improve receiving and pick and pack processes. According to Bergen Logistics’ COO, Eli Roman, “By installing this Bombay sorter, we have increased our capacity to receive, sort and pick an additional 4,000 to 5,000 units per hour.”

Bergen Logistics is offering Same Day Delivery to Manhattan, Downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica from its local respective facilities. This service is best utilized for e-commerce orders requiring same day delivery and last minute press items. Bergen Logistics’ clients promoting this fulfillment option can have consumer orders placed and hand delivered on the same business day.

Bergen’s back office department continues its expansion with RLM, its new robust ERP solution. The department has also completed full EDI integration, as well as auto invoice and auto-receive inventory from Rex11.
