Free English Lessons at RaYcorn English College hits 1 year old!

LONDON - May 10, 2013 - PRLog -- In the beginning
In 2012 RaYcorn English College (http://www.raycorn.com/eng/) began its first Free English Lesson (http://www.raycorn.com/eng/course/view.php?id=54) programme. At the time we held the lessons every Saturday afternoon at 13:00 (GMT). The driving idea behind this offer was twofold. Marketing; to tell students about our school and the convenience of studying English from their home countries while in an English school sourced in England. Availability: to provide students the opportunity to attend English lessons that they otherwise might not be able to afford.

Free means... erm...Free!
RaYcorn English College (http://www.raycorn.com/eng/) believes in the provision of goods and services for free on the Internet where possible. We believe this particularly of software. As such, the school has been created with a variety of open source software and systems available on the Internet. It is with this in mind that we run our Free English Lesson (http://www.raycorn.com/eng/course/view.php?id=54) programme.

What you get
Free online lessons differ from free software in one major respect. A human operator (an English teacher) is necessary to create the service. This fact makes it necessary to structure the free lessons in such a way as to minimise adverse impacts on the school. As a result our Free English Lessons (http://www.raycorn.com/eng/course/view.php?id=54) have the follow characteristics:

Blog writing is essential before every lesson

The lesson lasts one hour only

There is no homework

There is no “traditional” book used

Conversation techniques only are used

Lessons are multi-levelled

Lessons may (but haven’t up to now) hold up to 24 students (we usually get up to 8 students)

Lessons are held at fixed times in the week

We do not respond to emails asking questions about the free lessons (sorry; all the information you need to join is at http://www.raycorn.com/eng/course/view.php?id=54)

Free English Lesson schedules
Our Free English lessons (http://www.raycorn.com/eng/course/view.php?id=54) are now held 3 times a week. The current timing is:

Tuesday: 17:00 - 18:00

Thursday: 17:00 - 18:00

Saturday: 13:00 - 18:00
