American Widow Project Colorado Springs, CO Retreat

Military Widows gather together in Colorado Springs to remember spouses sacrifices and celebrate their legacies

AUSTIN, Texas - May 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Colorado Springs, CO:  Members of the American Widow Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to our nation’s military widows, will gather together on May 10th, 2013 in Colorado Springs, CO. The organization holds events throughout the country uniting military widows to celebrate their survival, honor their loved ones sacrifice, and provide a healing environment with others who share their journey.

The weekend, aimed at creating new bonds and promoting healing in a relaxed atmosphere, will be spent in Colorado Springs at a peaceful vacation rental. Activities planned for the weekend include a morning of zip lining and a day of whitewater rafting. In addition to the named events, the AWP has a few more surprises in store for the military widows attending this special weekend getaway.

The American Widow Project would like to thank the Egg & I and Phantom Canyon Brewing Co. for their generous donations to help make this a memorable event, along with activities kindly discounted by Raft Echo and Royal Gorge Zipline Tours. Also, thanks to all AWP Supporters for their generous donations and efforts in supporting this event.
