Get the Sex and the City look with MizEllie

SHREWSBURY, U.K. - May 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Here at MizEllie if there is one thing we love it has to be a great fashion inspired film or TV programme and of course the crème de la crème of fashionista viewing has to be Sex and the City. We spent years watching the highs and lows of the New York foursome with the love lives of Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha and of course their fabulous wardrobes. We've been a little bit bereft of the exploits of the Sex and the City girls since the end of the last film but fear not fashion fans we won't be without our favourite New Yorkers for too long. The prequel to Sex and the City – The Carrie Diaries has been released in the states and it's on its way here!

The show starts in 1984 when one Carrie Bradshaw is 16 and growing up in Connecticut – the programme shows her dealing with teenage angst and dreaming of becoming a writer in the big city as well as her first years in New York.  But of course it’s the fashion that most of us care about – the show takes viewers on a trip down memory lane to the 1980s so expect loads of fab 80s fashion, a look which can be easily created with a few key accessories, and maybe even the famous tutu. But in the mean time you can create the look of everybody's favourite fashion icon – one Carrie Bradshaw. So here's MizEllie's guide to Sex and City fashion.

Experiment with fashion

It's become iconic but if one thing that the title sequence of the TV show tells us is that Carrie is not afraid to experiment with fashion – anyone who can wear that tutu in public knows that fashion is fun. Carrie always had fun with her look and never took it too seriously. So to be a true Sex and the City girl do some experimenting.

Know your look

Each Sex and the City girl knew what looked good on them and each was different and unique –from quirky Carrie, to sexpot Samantha, corporate Miranda and classic Charlotte there is a look to suit everyone so work your style.

Don't forget the accessories

We all know that Carrie is rather fond of her Manolos but she is not just a shoe queen she loves her accessories from gorgeous Fendi bags and other great fashion handbags to fab costume and fashion jewellery (http://www.mizellie.co.uk/) (we're still lusting Carrie necklace) after that and even great scarves for women (although Charlotte was the queen of these but Carrie was also known to wear them).  Accessories were equally as important as the clothes in the show.
