ICONICS Announces GENESIS64™ SCADA V10.8 for Wind Operations

The GENESIS64 Automation Suite is designed from the ground up to take advantage of Windows 8 natural user interfaces, smart tile application organization, and 3D graphic hardware acceleration.

GENESIS64, an advanced HMI/SCADA solution based on open standards, integrates turbine, substation, smart grid, metering and business information into a high performance, real-time, distributed platform. The product is used in many related applications including warranty and asset performance verification, as well as system-wide monitoring and control. Users can easily create dazzling 2D and 3D visualization, distributed alarming, and data logging solutions for any wind or renewable energy application. GENESIS64 includes an extensive set of time-saving features such as smart symbols, wizards and auto configuration tools, which reduce engineering and overall integration time. V10.8 greatly expands the existing EarthWorX™ feature, allowing real-time data to be positioned with geospatial coordinates on ESRI maps, Bing Maps, or Google Maps, improving operational insight.

Advanced Natural User Interface Technology – ICONICS was the first to introduce multi-touch support in 2009 for SCADA and real-time Utility applications. New safe touch zones, pivot controls, multi-finger features and other multi-touch gestures extend the natural user interface in ways similar to that of smart phones and tablets. Now ICONICS integrates Microsoft Kinect® with advanced control rooms and operations centers.

EarthWorX™ – A Geospatial Mapping technology that enables viewing any real-time data or animation, positioned at its true location, on map tiles. Users can zoom in or pan through maps to navigate across their enterprise. Maps can now be incorporated from ESRI-produced maps, Google Maps, and Bing Maps.

AssetWorX™ – An ISA95 Intelligent Asset Technology. Users can easily define objects as assets and apply intelligence to these assets. Assets can be defined in accordance with wind turbine and substation models as defined by IEC61400 and IEC61850 standards. AssetWorX significantly decreases the engineering time needed to implement a system. Included with AssetWorX is the intuitive Asset Navigator, which provides rapid navigation to items of interest, for the largest wind power and utility operations.

FDDWorX™ – A Fault Detection and Diagnostics Solution with advanced algorithms that analyzes, detects and predicts equipment and efficiency faults. When faults do occur, the system provides a list of probable causes with current estimated probabilities.
