The event will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. in Flagler Beach at The BeachHouse Beanery on the deck. Jeff and Carol Fisher, owners of The Beanery, have graciously opened their doors for this event and invite the public to attend and hear all the local talent we have in Flagler County and the surrounding area. The popular local spot will have a lite menu available for purchase that evening, including wine, beer, smoothies, and as always great coffee drinks, along with an assortment of snacks and sweets.

Presenters will read, recite or sing a short excerpt of their work (5 minute limit.) If you would like to participate and share some of your poetry, short story, memoir, novel or other writing, please contact FWA chapter co-leader, Michael Ray King, at mrking@clearviewpressinc.com with "FWA Open Mic" in the subject line no later than Sunday, May 19 at 5 p.m. to get on the list of participants. Participants will be taken on a first come, first serve basis by email only. This event is open to the public as either a participant or a listener. In the event of rain, the event will be held inside the Beanery’s dining area. The group hopes to make this a regular event in our area so watch for future planned events.
