Families in Twin Cities Can Save Up to 50% on Groceries
Families in the Twin Cities area now have another way to save on their grocery bill. Every month they can order quality frozen food for around half the price of discount grocery stores through Living Word Food Ministry (LWFM).
Tomorrow, April 27th, is the first pickup and delivery day for LWFM. Eight-three customers purchased a total of 161 boxes of food. Seventeen of those orders are being delivered directly to the customer's home, an available option with an order of two or more boxes delivered within Hennepin County.
Every month, customers can order online, call their order in to LWFM, or complete a printed order form available at Living Word Christian Center, the distribution center and ministry behind LWFM.
Orders will be distributed one Saturday a month. On that day, customers can drive up to the door at Living Word and the food will be loaded into their vehicle or they can park and pick up their order inside the church. As mentioned, anyone ordering at least two boxes can request free delivery within Hennepin County.
Phil Winn, Living Word’s community outreach pastor, stated, “Our staff has ordered and tasted the food; we all agree that it tastes good and is available for a great price. We are excited to offer this program to our community.”
If you would like to place an order for May, orders are due by 6 p.m. on May 19 for distribution on Saturday, June 1. Call 763-315-7142 or visit http://food.lwcc.org for the menu and ordering details.
Founded in 1980, Living Word Christian Center is a local, nondenominational church in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, led by Pastor Mac Hammond. Through various ministries and outreaches, Living Word reaches people, touches lives, and makes a difference. http://www.lwcc.org
