| IEEE Computer Society Marks 100th Webinar with Lockheed MartinThe IEEE Computer Society added to Lockheed Martin's yearlong centennial anniversary celebration when it hosted the 100th webinar for the company's technical workforce last week.
From the series' first session on best practices in software architecture in October 2008, Computer Society technical experts have partnered with Lockheed Martin subject matter experts to tackle topics from systems engineering economics to dynamic construction to working with legacy systems. The 100th session covered the challenges of architecting complex systems. "We are delighted to be able to continue to offer a valuable learning resource to Lockheed Martin's engineering community," said Angela Burgess, IEEE Computer Society Executive Director. "Part of what has made this association so successful is that Lockheed Martin has been able to tailor the webinars to specific technical areas of interest which we can deliver cost-effectively to their geographically dispersed workforce." The webinar speakers consistently receive high marks in surveys, with more than 90 percent of employees characterizing the speakers as "knowledgeable and interesting" About the IEEE Computer Society The IEEE Computer Society is the world’s leading computing membership organization and the trusted information and career-development source for a global workforce of technology leaders including: professors, researchers, software engineers (http://www.computer.org/ Contact Information Media Contact: Margo McCall : Corporate Communications Manager mmccall@computer.org (http://../Dropbox/ (714) 816-2182 (office) (714) 822-9253 (mobile) End
