“End It Movement” is working with seven different organizations that work to end slavery in the world. The movement is seeking for people to get involved and help to spread the word to everyone. The movement is working to bring slavery to an end. Slavery still exists in the world, even in the United States, despite the 13th Amendment of the US Constitution. In January 2013, Pastor Lou Giglio launched a movement at this year’s Passion Conference called “End It Movement.” The movement seeks to shine a light on slavery and “end it.” Passion 2013 emphasized this generation being the generation that brings the slavery number of 27 million down to zero in their lifetime. At this year’s conference, attendees donated funds to the “End It Movement.” The goal at the start of this year’s Passion was $3.16 million. As of Jan. 4, over $3.17 million had been donated. On the Passion website, you can see how the money is being distributed over the nations to help slavery. (http://268generation.com/passion2013/freedom/) “Without a movement like this, so many people would still be in the dark about slavery,” says Bishop Ricky Sinclair. “ It is great to see all people pulling together for an important cause, Miracle Place Church will do what it can to help make people aware and to stop the end on slavery.”

The movement’s website states, “Slavery still exists. We want every man, woman and child to know that there are 27 million men, women and children, just like them, living in the shadows.” (http://enditmovement.com/)

On April 9, 2013, many people showed their support by placing a red X on their hands and sharing it across social networks to make everyone aware of the 27 million that are still lost in slavery. Some say that putting a red X on your hand won’t stop anything. The fact is, that people who did not know about slavery still existing today now have a better chance of knowing and doing something to help. The first step in fighting is making people aware of the war around them. If we do not know then we cannot help. You do not only have to wear the red X on April 9, you can wear it all the time to help make people aware. Do your part to end slavery by wearing your red X, donating, or most importantly prayer. God will hear our cries when the righteous cry out.
