NEW YORK - April 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Attorney Brittany Weiner, an associate of the law firm Imbesi Christensen, successfully represented an individual employed as a security guard that was terminated for alleged misconduct.  

The Department of Labor initially determined that that the former employee was discharged for misconduct and was not entitled to unemployment insurance benefits. The Honorable Garfield Willis issued an award, in favor of the firm's client, after an in-person hearing was conducted.  The decision overruled the determination by the Department of Labor that the employee was terminated due to misconduct.  Specifically, the decision set forth the following:

DECISION: The initial determination disqualifying the claimant from receiving overruled.
