Crown Homes Provides Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Informational Event

MANASQUAN, N.J. - April 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Crown Homes, an award winning custom homebuilder specializing in homes along the Jersey Shore has announced it will be holding a Hurricane Sandy rebuilding informational event, Life After Sandy:  A Guide to Rebuilding, Insurance and New Regulations, will be held on Thursday, April 25th from 6:30 to 7:45PM at the Brielle Public Library Reading Room.  This event is free to any homeowners in the area from Manasquan, Brielle, Mantoloking, Bayhead, Lavalette, Ortley Beach and the surrounding shore towns who are seeking information on rebuilding their homes.   According to Greg Pouliot, owner of Crown Homes, “While there is very little happening in the way of rebuilding the homes and businesses along the Northern Barrier Island of NJ that were affected by Hurricane Sandy, Long Beach Island has seen a significant amount of rebuilding.  It’s my mission to help homeowners who are struggling to get the rebuilding process started by providing information, resources and guidelines to rebuilding their homes.”  

This informational session is designed to help homeowners learn about the new FEMA flood maps and elevation requirements for rebuilding.  It will also discuss raising homes and how it may affect flood insurance premiums.  Homeowners can find out what their choices are for rebuilding and obtain resource information and links to FEMA and NJDEP websites with additional guidelines and resources.  “With so much confusion about elevating homes, rebuilding regulations and insurance coverage, homeowners are not sure where to start.  I believe this confusion is part of what is affecting the speed at which these areas are rebuilding.  If I can help get valuable information out to homeowners on rebuilding, maybe we can start to see some much-needed progress”, Pouliot continues.  Any homeowners who are interested in obtaining additional information from a building professional who has extensive experience in building homes along the beaches and rivers of the Jersey Shore should attend this much-needed event.
