BOULDER, Colo. - April 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Local business and online drawing program, The Creative Me, LLC is pleased to support Compassion International’s Rescuing Babies program, by donating 10 cents for each drawing, beginning the first quarter of 2013. The first donation check was presented to Amy Coddington, Compassion International’s Southwest Ministry Manager in March.

The Creative Me is an online drawing program developed by Brette Petway. This program offers participants a way to shift from their current state to an inspired one, through drawing and journaling. Each week a new inspiration supports the user to consider and appreciate the good situations in their life and share.

The Creative Me.com is much like the famous Postsecret site, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PostSecret , an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a postcard, by Frank Warren, only that it focuses on inspiring subjects that support people in this stressful world.  As a user and online artist, you can listen to healing music created by internationally recognized sound healer, Kimba Arem, while you develop your artwork. If you want to experience the healing nature of art, you want to spend a few minutes a day on The Creative me.

Compassion International(CI) is a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled adults. Founded by the Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care, as well as Christian training. Today, Compassion helps more than 1.2 million children in 26 countries. As a Christian non-profit that provides for babies and mothers in poverty, donations are tax deductible.

The Creative Me.com is contributing to The Child Survival Program, Compassion's first response to fight poverty on behalf of vulnerable infants and unborn babies. The Child Survival Program will allow babies and infants in poverty to survive. Your charitable donation provides nutrition, education and medical intervention for babies in poverty.

Artist Brette Petway stated, “I started The Creative me.com to help people heal through art and journal writing. I used art and journaling to heal myself after losing my sister to cancer, so I know how powerful it can be. I also love the idea of supporting Compassion International’s pledge to rescue babies from poverty. Please join us to help yourself and others by drawing and journaling for GOOD!”
