Ardee School students excel at the globally renowned ACER International Bench mark tests

EAST OF KAILASH, India - March 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Ardee School, one of the premium Montessori schools of North India that uses the hands on approach to learning, right up to the middle school, has another major achievement to its credit.

In a highly laudable feat, the ‘small-wonders’ of The Ardee School have proved their mettle by their excellent academic performance in the International bench mark test conducted by The Australian Council of Educational Research (ACER). The international Benchmarktests (iBt) is an internationally administered program of assessments in English, Mathematics and Science which benchmarks student performance against a broad, international cohort of students in which more than 50 countries participate.

Ardeeians of classes 3rd – 6th took the ACER exam for the first time in November 2012.  It is a matter of great pride for us that Ardeeians were declared top International scorers and 3 students were awarded the Certificate of Honor, the top most International honor accorded. 28 Ardeeians were awarded certificate of high distinction for securing scores between 95-99% and 9 students have won the distinction certificatefor securing top 90-94%.

Overall more than 75% of the students who had appeared for the ACER test have obtained distinction i.e. 90% and above.

The notable results of this worldwide assessment clearly shows the difference Montessori education brings as compared to regular schooling. It reflects the Ardee students’ ability to self-learn with didactic hands-on apparatus which helps the child comprehend concepts concretely and grasp new concepts and theories.

A key reason for the first-rate academic results of Ardee School students is their grounding in the Montessori Method that promotes constant self-improvement rather than competition. Cramming is highly discouraged at Ardee Schools and emphasis is on learning, which the students put into practice through deductive & reasoning exercises since polishing cognitive and problem-solving skills is the main objective of Montessori education.
