It is no wonder that over 60 couples have chosen to declare their love in such a special place. However, this year you will not have to be invited to a wedding to enjoy the magical ambiance of Sun Lotus.

Sun Lotus is opening its doors this season as the first full time"ashram-style" B&B on Vancouver Island, offering very basic accommodations in the beautiful setting of their sanctuary garden and following a light daily schedule of yoga, meditation, and other activities, allowing you to create your own personal yoga retreat any day you like, at the most economical price possible. In fact, their suggested exchange of $60 a night, covers the basic cost of staying overnight, leaving it in your hands and heart to determine the donation you wish to leave.

This new direction is a leap of faith and requires a commitment on the part of the operators to bring their personal yoga practices into the public sphere--everyday. They are excited to do so, they know it will enhance their own life and they understand that presently, and into the future, people will need more economical places to find true peace, respite and spiritual association--away from the stresses of the city and their workaday worlds; and they hope to find support in the growing spiritual community of the west coast. The owners believe that the only revolution worth supporting is the revolution of consciousness, the only hope for humanity is in a spiritual awakening; a realizing that the way we have been doing & perceiving things has been all wrong, and they believe in the power of coming together in community.

With approximately 30 million people practicing yoga in America alone, and many millions more around the globe, there is ample evidence to suggest that the movement towards higher consciousness is not just a trend, but a natural evolutionary imperative motivated by the survival instinct and the intense suffering of humanity and the globe.

Inspired by Sri Amritandamayi (Amma),  Satguru Jaggi Vasudev and various other spiritual teachers, as well as all the wonderful weddings, volunteers and guests they have experienced, Sun Lotus operators hope to emulate and transmit the love they have gathered, and do their part to bring peace to humanity.
