Follow on Google News | Local Health Center Offers Workshop for Hispanic FamiliesThe Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Center will be hosting an education and awareness workshop for Hispanic families at their Peoria, Illinois location at 4727 N. Sheridan Rd. on Saturday, April 20th. The workshop will focus on local and state resources for Hispanic families. Dr. Osvaldo Wesly and Dr. Patricia Kinessa will be headlining the workshop as presenters. The event will have activities for children while the adults attend the workshop. The Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Center, along with the partnership of Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service, Community Health Partnership, Illinois Department of Human Services and Vocational Rehabilitation Management of Illinois will be hosting an education and awareness workshop on Saturday, April 20th, 2013 between the time of 10am-1pm. The presentations will focus on the current stage of healthcare in the Hispanic community and will also feature an introduction to bleeding and clotting disorders. Numerous activities for children will take place between the times of the presentations as well. The Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Center provides diagnosis, treatment, education, advocacy and community outreach in the greater central and southern Illinois areas. Under the leadership of Dr. Osvaldo Wesly, CBDC is committed to meeting the needs of all patients, including the minority and underserved populations. Dr. Wesly is bilingual in English and Spanish enabling him to serve the growing Hispanic population and reach out to those unfamiliar with English.
