ProxyTell Announces New Executive Compensation Rating (ECR) Product

FAIRFAX, Va. - March 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Today, March 13th, 2013, ProxyTell, LLC, a truly independent proxy advisory firm based in Fairfax, VA announced the release of its new Executive Compensation Rating (ECR) product.

The ECR reports are simple, reliable, and affordable. The executive compensation results found in the ECR reports are many of the same data points provided for the quantitative part of ProxyTell's executive compensation vote recommendations.

For each rated company the total compensation of the highest paid named executive officer (not always the CEO) as found in the company's SEC filing is entered into a model and compared to what the typical total compensation should be for a company of that size. The resulting percentage is converted to a rating, green if the pay is about equal or less than expected, red or purple if the pay is much more than the expected amount.

ECR reports are designed to allow individual investors and other small investors who might not be able to otherwise afford this type of report a quick and reliable method of identifying companies outside the norm in the executive pay arena. This is a key ingredient for investors wishing to intelligently vote the say-on-pay and executive compensation proposals found on most corporate proxy statements today.
