March 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Every Heart Has A Story To Share

Every heart has a story to share; I’m sure yours does to?

We keep rerunning our stories in our minds, changing bits of it as we relive realisations on aspects of it that run like a ladder in a pair of tights through the rest of it. We have all lived through our childhoods with very different experiences to share, met and travelled alongside characters who have loved, hurt, inspired us or driven us to distraction, some have battled serious us health challenges that have toppled them out of their shoes for a while.

When we read a story we can feel for the other person, feel we are alongside them and can reflect their lives into our hearts.

I AM WOMAN has been helping  women by sharing what it feels like to walk in other women’s shoes and walks alongside women as they build their confidence and skills in business. In Wales we have exceptionally talented women who go unnoticed, all with a story to tell and experiences to share, whether it be recovering from breast cancer, coping being part of a family business, overcoming mental exhaustion or their tactics for surviving and thriving.

To capture this I AM WOMAN set a challenge to its members, in just 5 months in time for its International I AM WOMAN Day Celebrations on March 19th 2013 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cardiff. We wanted to help 12 women write a book for Kindle that could be shared with women all over the world. An initiative was launched called  ‘The Kindle Book Publishing Challenge’ driven forward by 2 amazing women in publishing Jacqui Malpass and Cathy Presland

Did they do it? That old saying came into play if you want to get anything done, give it to a busy woman!” On March 19th 2013 the publishing world will see twelve women go from no experience of writing a book to launching their first book on Kindle, enabling them to raise their profile, share their experience and expertise and to encourage other women find their voice in their hearts to do the same.

The budding authors, including Swansea’s Marianne Pettifor, have been given advice and guidance from book coaches Cathy Presland and Jacqui Malpass designed to help them stay focused and keep them motivated.

At 65 Marianne is the oldest writer, says Marianne,” I never thought I would write a book at my age, this has made me realise just how important it is to share our stories.”

Presland and Malpass also commented “So often, people fail at the first hurdle because they feel alone with their writing project. With this challenge we created a team spirit which has carried everyone through the highs and lows of writing. “

Cheryl Bass launched the I AM WOMEN business clubs in the UK over a year ago with the intention of creating a community of women who could learn and share business and life experiences by walking along side each other. Says Cheryl “All over the world women are sharing their gifts, at I AM WOMAN we have been encouraging our entrepreneurs to publish books and build successful on going careers from their many years of experience.”
