York, Pennsylvania GETS MENTAL, Proclaiming CerebRun as an official day in York County

March 11, 2013 - PRLog -- York, Pennsylvania - On the morning of March 6th, York County got a little dirty, proclaiming CerebRun (http://www.cerebrun.com) as an official day in the area.  CerebRun is the world's only mental mud run, and the Board of Commissioners invited CerebRun, offering their support and encouragement, on the behalf of York, Pennsylvania.  

On the dates of April 13th and 14th, CerebRun will be unleashing its debut event at Lauxmont Farms in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania.  CerebRun is a mud run with mental puzzles.  The completion of each puzzle will determine how long and difficult each runner's CerebRun Challenge is.  The course will provide atleast 15 obstacles and 8 puzzles, and for the spectators, there will be food and beverage vendors, as well as entertainment.  

The mud run industry is booming, and York County’s Board of Commissioners recognizes CerebRun's presence as a positive influence for York, Pennsylvania.  CerebRun will be bringing in runners and spectators from 8 different states, helping to promote local businesses with outside tourism.  In addition to the attractive physical challenge, CerebRun is also helping to raise funds for Action For Healthy Kids, a children’s focused charity that encourages children to exercise and eat healthy.

CerebRun is joining the mud running industry and will be serving the mud run fanatics.  But the addition of puzzles will add a new twist to the course.  The race organizers claim that too often, current mud runs are becoming so congested with participants that they are no longer challenging.

“Who wants to wait in a line during a physical challenge?” questioned one of the organizers.

CerebRun expects the mind-twisting puzzles to offer a new dimension of challenges.  But just as importantly, they will also help split up the runners throughout the course.  

“What’s great about our mud run is that the puzzles will help control the amount of runners at each obstacle.  Each puzzle will be stationed at a junction.  The correct answer will direct runners through an easier, shorter route, while punishing the rest,” claimed another organizer.  

CerebRun’s mud run will be 5 miles or 7 miles, and claims to provide a solid physical challenge in the process.  York County is excited for CerebRun, as are the hundreds of registrations the race has already accumulated with more than a month to go for race day.
