March 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Miss Black California 2011/2012 Constance Reese volunteers her time reading to youth and encouraging their success.  Constance celebrates Dr. Seuss and Read Across America Day the same way every year, reading to elementary school students in her hometown of the Antelope Valley, California.  The former beauty queen says “encouraging youth literacy and assisting young people in developing a ferocious appetite for reading at an early age can be tremendously beneficial.”  Reese is constantly invited to speak and read at schools across the state and she taps into her skills as a theatrically trained actress when bringing the pages to life.  “I try to be animated and bring energy to the characters in the stories to show the students that reading can be fun and exciting” she states.  Constance performs on stages around the world, stars in movies, hosts television shows, and continues to speak about strategies for successful youth development at events across the nation.  “I have such a tremendous respect for great teachers and educators, so I am truly honored when they invite me into their classrooms” Reese shares.  “These students motivate me-they are so smart, inspiring, and driven; they possess such a strong thirst for knowledge” she continues. Constance is a graduate from UCLA and continues mentoring young people and encouraging them to pursue their goals.  For more information on Constance Reese visit http://www.missblackcalifornia2011.com.
